Some Questions Answered ...

What is 'fps'?

FPS refers to 'Frames per Second'. This determines how many frames are displayed in a second. 15 fps is a good choice for web-animation, but this factor too is a matter of choice, aesthetics & file size.

How do I reduce my video file size?

Use any of these following techniques, either in combination or otherwise:

  1. Reduce the number of colors.
  2. Use a compression codec to compress your video.
  3. Resize your animation to a smaller dimension.
  4. Remove unwanted frames.

What is Vector Animation?

When you enlarge vector animation files while playing, they don't pixelize. They store their data using mathematical formulae, which displays the animation relative to the display window. The most famous & popular vector animation package for the web is Macromedia Flash.
