``Subhash's Text Editor'' was designed to match my dynamic development needs. One day I work on XML, the next Java, the next C in Linux, the next PHP, so on... I wanted a text editor which I could twist and tune to my need of the hour. Thus was born one of the most modular and extensible text editors.
The interface of the Text Editor is built from a XML configuration file. By editing this XML file you can extend the functionality of the editor to your needs.
To configure the tool for your requirement, you need to learn how to edit the configuration file. This is documented in the ``Developer's Guide (Configuration)''. The ``Developer's Guide (Plugins)'' is under development.
Your OS should have JRE (Java Runtime Environment) 1.4 or above installed.

After download, extract the tar.gz file. A folder named ``deploy_te'' will be available in the directory where you extracted the file. Go inside this folder, and issue the command:
java -jar te.jar
